MISSION

To be premier community-based institution of higher learning designed to uplift the economic and social status of its people through the development of values, acquisition of knowledge and entrepreneurial skills for better job opportunities with the guidance of our Father Almighty.

BRIEF 

HISTORY

The Tagoloan Community College was created by virtue of Municipal Ordinance No. 03, Series of 2003 as an integral part of the collective social development thrust of the local government unit under the administration of Mayor Yevgeny Vincente B. Emano.

The ordinance was sponsored by councilor Rolando E. Seno, the Chairman of Education Committee, and duly approved by the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Vince Dagus Sanchez on July 23, 2003. It immediately went into operation on August 23, 2003 offering ten (10) Baccalaureate Degree Courses with 162 students. This courses include Bachelor on Science and Business Administration, Bachelor in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science and Information Technology, Automotive Technology and Electronics Technology, Bachelor of Science in Development Communication and Bachelor of Science and Hospitality Management Major in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

On its third year of operation, the degree courses of Bachelor of Science and Criminology and Bachelor of Arts and Social Science were offered. By this time, the college has more than one thousand four hundred enrollees from Tagoloan and adjoining municipalities under the center administrator Dr. Beatriz Bentuzal.

At present the enrollees go up to more than four thousand. The Tagoloan Community College has the president Dr. Rolando D. Acoriba, Jr. who brings the constructive changes in the school both academic and administration under the Honorable Mayor Paulino Yap Emano as the chairman of the board.

In essence, Tagoloan Community College is the concretization of the Local Government Officials ‘ dream and obsession to quality yet affordable tertiary education to the low-income sections of society.
