SHIFTING POLICY

 A student will be allowed to shift to another course twice only. Any student shall not be allowed to shift from on course for more than two (2) times unless the shifting is upon the recommendations of the College Dean and the final approval of the Dean of the Academic Affairs.

SHIFTING PROCEDURE

1. Any students who wants to shift must see first his/her Department Head for Interview.

2. The Counselor gives him/her a shifting form to be filled out and signed by the persons concerned

3. If accepted by the school, the receiving department chair interviews/evaluates his/her grades for enrollment.

4. The student distributes the copies of the shifting form to the different officers (Department Head Registrar and the Guidance Office).

5. The perspective offices file the shifting forms for record purposes.

RETENTION GENERAL POLICY

If a student accumulates a total of 5 failing grades or a total of 15 units, he/she is barred from e-registration. A student who fails in two technical or skilled courses or equivalent to 10 units shall be barred from registration. Failure in non-credit courses shall not be considered in unit count.

Third and Fourth year students who will fail in two major courses shall be advised to shift to another course. Failure in three major courses shall be barred from re-registration.

  1. All criminology students should get a minimum grade of 2.5 in all of his/her major and english subjects. A student who fails to reach the cut-off grade should either re-take the subject or shift to another course. 
  2. A criminology student who obtains a 2.5 grade in four of his/her major and english subjects in any semester shall be advised to shift to another course. 
  3. A criminology student may be placed under probation during the first semester of his/her first year upon the discretion of the College Dean.

  1. As midwifery students should get a minimum grade of 2.5 in all of his/ her professional and core courses. A student who fails to reach the cut-off grade should either re-enroll the course or shift to another program.
  2. A midwifery student who obtains 1 2.5 grade in three of his/her professional and core courses in any semester shall be advised to shift to another program.
  3. The students under 2-year program have to enroll in the competency assessment I and II after having completed all the requirements in the major courses, theory and clinical practice to be enrolled in the 1st and 2nd semester for the 2nd year level.
  4. The students in the 2 year program should comply with all the requirements required by the bard of midwifery and Professional Regulation Commission and to be submitted first to the dean’s office 1 week before the date of graduation for final evaluation of the template
