Today, October 20, participants from across the country gathered at the Muntinlupa National High School Gymnasium after the parade for the 13th LCUAA National Games 2024 grand opening.
The ceremony commenced by introducing esteemed guests from the LCUAA Board, including OIC President and Hon. Mayor Atty. Nadya Emano-Elipe, Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Kharen Jane S. Ungab, and Vice-President for Administration Dr. Merilyn Tangon.
Afterward, LCUAA Chairperson Dr. Sigfredo C. Adajar delivered warm welcome remarks, followed by an opening speech from LCUAA Executive Director and PLMun University President Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE.
Moreover, the PLMun Folkloric Dance Company, PLMun BLCKMVMNT, and PLMun Dulangsining mesmerized the audience with their captivating performances.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Hon. Rozzano Rufino B. Biazon, in his inspirational message, emphasized the importance of sports development among youth, stating, "Engaging in sports instills discipline, perseverance, and a drive for excellence... preparing youth athletes for competitions and life's challenges."
Thereafter, the PLMun Honor Guard Drill Team impressed the crowd with their flawless execution, followed by the lighting of the torch led by representative athletes and the Pledge of Commitment led by PLMun athlete Mr. Christian Benedict C. Arevalo.
Finally, the event was formally opened by Mayor Biazon alongside the LCUAA executive board."
